I need a job. For many reasons. I am tired of wearing the school uniform jacket out when I am with friends because I dont have any money to buy my own. I want to get a job so I can buy a lot of food when I am out because sometimes I just want to be a pig. But the main reason why I need a job is so I can save up to go back to America or Australia to vist. For the past hour, I have been applying for jobs. Last time I was in China I got offered a modeling job but it was after I already left unfortunaly. I was looking online and I saw they needed a guitarist. I hope they respond. I wonder if I can fit a job in with my daily routine but it is something that I am willing to try. I am going to wait a few days and see if any one has responded. I sent out at least 3 job applications. Although there is a lot of other people trying to get the same job. It pays pretty well. I saw some jobs for teachers. I found it funny. If I was just a little bit older I could make 20k a month. O well, I will be in America by that time studying in university. If I get the job, I will probably have to go out a lot more then I already do which should be fun. I guess.. My friend told me how easy it is to get a job in china so I will just keep my fingers crossed.

I can't say I am happy with this. I also can't say I agree to the reasons I am missing it but I am okay with staying in saturday school because of being late, using my ipad iin class and having my football with me. Currently, my team is loosing 27-0. It is not even the first half of the game yet. I really feel like they are loosing because of me. They are loosing because I was suppose to be in every single play because a lot of people were already missing. I am the starting running back and so far my team has not even scored one touchdown. I am okay with loosing one game because it is just one game right? Wrong. We need to have an undefeated season if we even want to think about beating russia or going to austria. Russia is already coming to China to play us and just because of this game they might have second thoughts. Football in China is not like in America. People only take a highschool team seriously if we win. In the football community we have an image to uphold. And because of my actions we are loosing. This will effect the whole season and now the chance of being undefeated has been taken away. I am sure if I was there, and if some more team mates could make the game we would have a fighting chance. But all of the experienced players couldnt make the game. Our team has been crippled for one weekend but that is all it takes to loose a reputation as the under 19 team of China around the world. We have been starting to talk to other countries to come play us but I doubt if we loose they will be interested. But there will be other games and other chances to play teams from other countries so that is something I look forward to. It is not all bad and terrible. It's just a game.
On the bright side I get to sit here and write some weebly blogs while my team looses. -Josh Mata I have heard a lot of things about the great wall. The more I heard the less great it actually seemed. I thought it was just another wall. I have always known how big the wall was and how long it was, but I never really apreciated it. My preception of the wall was a bunch of old stones that made a big wall. Nothing more, nothing less. When I heard I was going to see the great wall of China I was honestly not too excited. That is, until I actually got their. We travelled to the wall from beijing. It was our second day in beijing. The group I was travelling with wanted to take the slides back down the wall and so did I. But unfortunly they were closed due to rain. We took skii lifts down instead and we also took them going up. I was with a few heavy american football players at the time so the line that was carrying us was always going down which scared a few people pretty bad. I thought it was funny. Once we arrive I was surprised about how steep the wall was. I was amazing by the sight even though I have seen it a thousand times before. Taken by the beauty of the wall up close I almost forgot what it took to build it. To be standing on so much history was interesting. I walked around for a little until I was caught in the middle of a snow fight my group has started. The locals just looked at us funny. I could picture them saying to eachother "Stupid foriegners". I just luaghed and threw a few snow balls at Steve, a football player in our group. As we walked along the wall we took pictures and stopped to chat every 30 feet. If I were younger I would hate this but I have grown to take a liking to experiences like this. I can honestly say I won't be forgetting the great wall or ever doubting how great it actually is.
-Josh Mata I wonder what it is like. For my family, friends and others back at home. I wonder what they are doing every second of the day. Are they working hard and trying to become successfull? Or just being lazy and partying. A part of me thinks both. As much as I think about them, every one of them, I can't talk to any one. No matter how hard I try and no matter how much I care things won't be the exact same from the way they were and that is just the way life is sometimes and that is okay. Every now and then I get on facebook to say hey to a few friends which makes my day every time I logg on.
I remember one time with my friend Sawyer, we went to the movies with our friend Tayler. We were practiciing backflips and talking to girls untill they decided to not spot me in my backflip and I landed on my back. I did that motion that fish do when they jump out of water. I did that weird jerking motion in the air and made a complete idoit out of myself in front of everyone. I miss times like those. After my ex girlfriend and I broke up my friend Dakota invited me over after school. Her mom has a weird thing over her dating me which is kind of weird but we luaghed about it. When ever I went over her house we would drive to Walmart and buy pizza for her family. And when we were in her room her sister would walk in on us doing the most awkward things. Things like making awkward faces and taking pictures, writing songs or just talking about random stupid things. I miss times like those. There are so many other good times and also a lot of bad times. Each person I left still sends me constant messages via skype, facebook and email. My family often wonders why I get so much pleasure out of talking to people through the internet because I do not only discover new things in eachothers life, I also re- PE over the past couple of weeks has been interesting. I love seeing how the students react to all of the new information regarding how to stay fit and healthy. So far we have done things like the grip test, sit and reach, shuttle, stork test, ruler drop test, harverd step test and the tennis ball test. Each one of these test shoes how good you are at balence, speed etc. The grip test is for strength. Sit and reach is for flexability. Shuttle is for agility and speed. Stork test is for balence. Harverd step test is for cardio vascular endurence. Ruler drop test is for reaction. Tennis ball test is for hand eye coordination.
These skills are essentail for any young person who wants to stay healthy. -Josh Mata Most days end up the same way. I always go to school, go to the gym, come home, eat and then sleep. Nothing interesting what so ever. Although on wednesday, I was suppose to go to catching practice with some team mates of mine. My adventure started when I took a taxi to the field. When I got to the adress I realized that I had the wrong adress. I told the taxi driver to take me to a subway stop and he did. I paid him and then got all of my football stuff out of the taxi. I found a bus that I used to take about 7 months ago back to my house from that location. I was at the shanghai zoo and I could take the 911 home. Althogh when I got on the bus I found my wallet was not in my pocket. I thought about if I left it in the taxi, or dropped it somewhere but I know it wouldn't fall out of my pocket and I put the change from the taxi in my wallet while exiting the taxi. Then I came to a sudden realization, my wallet was stolen. The same wallet I got a year ago in California. The same wallet that has been with me constantly for the past year. I was surprisingly calm about the whole matter. It is just a wallet. The situation was okay so far because no one noticed I didn't pay when I entered the bus. About 30 minutes later we are still not at my home in Qi Bao. I have taken the wrong bus. The bus I took was still 911, but the wrong 911. I had to take a full loop in that bus to come all the way back to the shanghai zoo. After I got off of the bus I walked back to the adress that was given to me by a team mate hoping that I would find one of them. I didn't find anyone so I gave up and took a taxi home and got my dad to pay for it. Overall it was a pr
1. What is the meaning of due process?
The state must respect all of the rights of a person. 2. Why is it important to guarantee due process? This is important because without due process, the government can throw away human rights and change them. What due process does, is gives the same treatment in court etc, to everyone. 3. The Obama Administration has recently asserted that they can kill American citizens if they are suspected of serving as members of Al Qaida or "an associated force" even if there is not evidence that they are not planning an attack on the United States at the time. Does this violate an American's right to due process written in the Constitution? Review pg 239. Why might the government be justified in killing an American citizen without trial? This is not justice. This is not due process because one's right to a fair trial is being taken away. This violates a lot of rights of an America that is written in a constitution such as, freedom of speech and right to a fair court. The government is not justified to kill an American citizen without trial. -Josh mata |
